At
Claremont State Special School we believe all students can learn
and have the right to learn through an innovative, current, fun and challenging
teaching and learning program. The curriculum aims to lay
the foundations for lifelong learning and training opportunities. We aim to
develop independence in our students preparing them for life and work post
school.
The curriculum
is designed and implemented by a committed and enthusiastic team of
professionals including classroom teachers, therapists, specialist
teachers in music, art and physical education, and teacher aides.
The
school is implementing the Australian Curriculum in English, Maths and Science
as well as health and physical education, the arts and technology, history,
geography and HASS. The curriculum is differentiated to meet the unique learning
needs of the student cohort.
