School captains and Sports captains
School captains are elected at the beginning of each year. School captains are excellent role models who have a good attitude to learning and school life. They attend school, wear their uniform, model appropriate behaviours and support others to follow the school student expectations. A school captain and vice captain are elected from the senior cohort of students who are in their final year of schooling. School captains represent the school at special events, school activities and functions and play a role in school assembly.
Students (boys and girls) are nominated and elected as sports captains. The sports captains have specific roles and responsibilities. Part of their role is to uphold the good name of Claremont Special School and to be role models to other students.
Sports captains serve as a vital link in the communication chain necessary for the success of the sports program.
