Administration block
The administration block houses the reception area, principal, deputy principals and Heads of Curriculum offices and offices for admin staff. The staffroom, specialist offices and Conference room is also located in this block.
Assembly hall
The school has a large assembly hall located off the main quadrangle. The hall has a kitchen which is used for social occasions. The hall is used during the school day for a variety of activities including assemblies, gymnastics, PE, choir, lunchtime activities etc. The hall also provides a source of fundraising for the P&C when it is hired out to clubs and organisations in the evenings.
School buses
Claremont owns four mini-buses, one capable of carrying a wheelchair. The buses are for use in Community Based Programs which enhance the educational teaching and learning outcomes of classroom programs. They are also used for some sporting events, school camps and work experience access. Bus timetables are developed at the beginning of each term.
Bus rules
Students are required to display appropriate behaviour on the bus so as not to distract the driver
No eating or drinking on the bus
All students and staff are to wear seatbelts while travelling in the bus
No children are to sit in the front with the driver
No loose objects are to be placed in the bus
The wheelchair lift is only to be operated by an adult
Kitchen
An fully functioning industrial kitchen is located in J Block. The kitchen supports the SAKG program and school canteen. Students completing certificate courses complete work experience within the kitchen.
Library resource centre
The Claremont library resource centre, funded by the Building Education Revolution in 2010, is located at the front of the school near E Block. It provides an additional learning space for the school. The library resource centre houses the student and teacher resource collection and computer lab and provides an exciting, modern and fun learning and teaching environment.
Multi purpose room
Within J Block multi purpose room there are two multi-sensory rooms. These rooms play an important part in stimulating the various senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. There is also an area for students to engage in art activities.
STEM Room
Students access the STEM room in M Block to support the implementation of digital technologies and basic coding and robotics.
